This is a one-morning in-school programme aimed at Key Stage 2 (ages 8 – 11). The pupils work in country groups on a variety of activities, book-ended by Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Originally developed by Scripture Union for the Olympics it has been adapted for the Rugby World Cup.
Requiring just a small team of volunteers working with the school staff it involves sport and creativity combined with reflection on the story of David & Goliath, and delivers a memorable morning for all involved.
Mixing fun and activity with educational curriculum-based sessions, it has already been used with great success in the early summer in several schools.
