International Mission Teams are gearing up to share the gospel with hundreds of fans during the Rugby World Cup.
Engage 2015 is delighted to be partnering with Operation Mobilisation, Scripture Union and Youth with a Mission during Rugby World Cup 2015. This partnership is an opportunity for mission’s teams to visit the UK and work alongside Engage 2015 and local churches using the Rugby World Cup theme. Agencies are calling for volunteers to seize this amazing opportunity to reach out to locals as well as to international visitors.
Pastor Renfred Muller, who runs a rugby based ministry in Namibia, is looking forward to work alongside our friends at Scripture Union Wales. They aim to run rugby clinics in schools in and around South Wales.
Ab Van Alst of OM Lifehope said “We are looking forward to work with Engage 2015 and the other agencies, to sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the many rugby fans from all over the world”
Matt Gymme of YWAM Biarritz is bringing a team of 25 mission volunteers and they are excited to be coming to the UK and to serve others in the name of Christ.
From the 18 September until 31 October rugby is a spring board for the mission’s teams to engage with visitors to the UK and the local community through street evangelism, drama, dance and arts. This is seen as an opportunity to reach and begin to disciple people from the many nations visiting the UK for this event.
There are currently mission’s teams coming from Namibia and France which will be lead by Philippe How, Mission Teams Coordinator, Engage 2015. The teams will be based in London staying with families of local church members. Philippe How adds, all the mission teams will be working alongside local churches with the aim to engage with their local communities and overseas visitors. Mission teams will minister through sports clinics, holiday clubs, community festivals, cultural shows and so on. Philippe would like to hear from you if your church or agency is looking for mission volunteers.
