Engage 2015 launch latest campaign website developments


With just ten days to go until the beginning of Rugby World Cup a number of key developments have been launched on the Engage 2015 Campaign website.

Visitors to the website will notice that now Engage 2015’s key relationships with partners, denominational ambassadors and player ambassadors can easily be navigated. A range of videos from events across the UK with people talking about Engage 2015’s resources and how they intend to use them. The latest press releases can also be accessed along with all recent social media updates.

15 ways in which people can engage with Rugby World Cup through youth, churches and schools are listed with easy access to information and resources to support each activity. Communities hosting events can register them for the Engage calendar making it easy for others looking for local activities to attend and led their support.

An exciting new development is the Global Prayer Wave which will kick off 24 hours before the first match, on September 17 at 8pm local time and can be tracked all around the world via the use of hashtags on twitter. The hashtag being used for the event is #RWCPRAYERWAVE

Additional functionality has been added to the website to capture peoples’ stories and experiences around the RWC. Eight key resources developed specifically for Engage 2015 can be easily found under one tab. From the Game of Life to the Engage Media Hub and the recently launched RWC Sweepstake App there is something for everyone and every level of activity right down to a daily prayer diary.

The updated website is designed to enhance the way churches can access information and engage with their communities. Engage 2015 is not just planning for this Rugby World Cup but also for for its legacy around the nation and the world for future sporting events.

Just ten days out from kick off there is still plenty of time for people to get hold of resources and put them to good use.
