Engage 2015

Andy Reed to head up Engage 2015 Campaign

Andy Reed OBE was awarded this title in June 2012 in the Queens Honours list for his contribution to sport and the community and his contribution will continue through 2015 as he takes on the role of chairman for Engage 2015.

Andy has always had a strong community presence, being the Labour MP for Loughborough between 1997 and 2010 and being appointed visiting Professor of Sport Policy and Development at Liverpool John Moores University in 2014. He is also an avid rugby player playing at Birstall RFC and for the Commons & Lords Charity invitation side regular. Andy is the Director of SajeImpact and the Sports Think Tank.

Working with Christians in Sport Andy facilitates partnerships with church denominations and para-church organisations to provide sports mission resources. Thus he is the ideal candidate to chair the Engage 2015 campaign.

Says Andy ‘There is real enthusiasm for the Church to be supporting the Rugby World Cup mission, by all working together I am sure we can make the 6 weeks of the Rugby World Cup a great national event’
